Alice V. Gwin, 96, formerly of Lancaster, passed away on October 10, 2015 at Winchester Place in Canal Winchester. She was born May 13, 1919 in Tennessee and was the daughter of the late Ike and Elizabeth (Day) Henson. Alice was a member of Oakland U.M. Church.
She is survived by a son, Roy A. Gwin Jr. of Gahanna and a daughter, Joyce Cochenour of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Kim (Todd) Wright of Cincinnati, Ric (Carrie) Gwin of Gahanna, Rusty (Shelley) Cochenour and Vickie (John) Connell both of Lancaster; 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy A. Gwin and 12 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor Dave Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Lancaster. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until time of service on Tuesday.
