Ann Goodman

Ann Goodman, age 88 of Amanda, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at home. She was born January 14, 1936 in Lancaster, to Ralph and Geraldine (Conrad) Bates. Ann was a graduate of Amanda High School, class of 1953. She retired from Amanda Schools with 28 years of service. Ann was a talented seamstress and loved to cook. She enjoyed making crafts, candle making and painting. When she was able to, she enjoyed tending to her flowers.

She is survived by her son, Rick (fiancée Linda Anderson) Goodman, of Amanda; grandchildren, Shawn (Kelly) Goodman, of Amanda and Kelsey (Brian Pfister) Goodman, of Pickerington; great grandchildren, Kyla and Lillian Goodman; extended grandchildren, Cameron (Allyson) and Taylor Anderson; great grandchildren, Lakeleigh and Wyatt Anderson; brother-in-law, Jerald "Butch" (Nancy) Goodman, of Lancaster; sisters-in-law, Joanne Hinton, of Amanda, Doris Peters, of Lancaster, and Barbara Goodman, of Canal Winchester; many nieces and nephews; loving companion, her dog Sammy; special friends, Don and Janet Myers, of Florida. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert "Bob" Goodman; brother, Buddy Bates; brothers-in-law, Larry "Bud" Goodman, Charles Todd, Don Hinton, Richard Bowers, and Don Peters; sisters-in-law, Vivian Todd and Mary Bowers.

At her request, private services and burial have been conducted at Amanda Township Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda.

Ann's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to her nurse Beth, and social worker Nancy, as well as the entire staff at Fairhope Hospice and the Pickering House.
