Barbara Ann McCormick

Barabara A. McCormick age 58 of Amanda went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 after a brief fight with Pancreatic cancer. She was born on August 19, 1967 in Cincinnati, Ohio but lived the majority of her life in Fairfield County. A graduate of Lancaster High School's class of 1985, she earned a bachelor's degree in Human Resources from Miami University. She worked for Princeton Delivery Systems, where she met her beloved husband Jay.
Barbara and Jay were married in November of 1999, and celebrated 26 years of marriage. Barbara was the loving mother of her children Michael and Rebecca. She was dedicated to her family and spent many years as a homemaker and a homeschool mom. She was a faithful servant of her Lord Jesus Christ, proclaiming the gospel in both word and deed. A member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lancaster, she served in multiple capacities and was known for encouraging others.
She is preceded in death by her father Daniel R. Renner. Barbara is survived by her husband Jay; her children Michael and Rebecca; her mother Mary Ellen Renner; her brothers Daniel (Debra) Renner and William (Amy) Renner; father-in-law and mother-in-law Don and Linda McCormick; brother-in-law Chris (Ann) McCormick; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 27th, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church 1910 Marietta Road, Lancaster. A funeral service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday, February 28th at 10:00 a.m. with Pastors Mike Borland and Rob Reed officiating with calling hours one hour preceding the service. Interment will follow at Amanda Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either Calvary Baptist Church or Fairhope Hospice.
