Barbara Rowland

Barbara Lynn Rowland, 70, of Amanda, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Fairfield Medical Center, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 11, 1955 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Ernest and Betty Wasem.

Barb was a graduate of Lancaster High School Class of 1973. She loved her family with her whole heart, and they all knew it. She was gifted with an amazing singing voice that she used to bless many around her for years, including her church family.

Barb is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Robert Rowland Jr.; her children, Crystal (Ryan) Bash of Chillicothe and Robert (Crystal) Rowland III of Circleville; 7 grandchildren, Cameron Bash, Cailynn Bash, Cooper Bash, Robert Rowland IV, Tyler Rowland, Marie Cottril and Elijah Cottril; two sisters, Loretta (Dave) Phalen and Diana (Walt) Zinn and one brother Steve (Patti) Wasem. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernie and Betty Wasem; one sister, Sharon Friesner and one brother, Ernie Wasem.

Services and arrangements are being directed by Taylor-Theller Funeral and Cremation Services, Amanda, Ohio 43102. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during calling hours from 12pm – 1pm on Monday, December 15th. The funeral service will be held directly after, followed by a private, family interment service. Business casual or casual dress is appropriate for the service.
