Bernice E. Hampp

Bernice E. Hampp, 71, of Laurelville, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 at her residence.  She was born January 23, 1943 in Ross County and was the daughter of the late Roy and Iva (Danner) Hines.  She was retired from Conns Potato Chips in Lancaster.
She is survived by her companion of 22 years, Darrell E. Johnson; children, Iva E. (Herbert) VanGundy of Lancaster, Ned D. (Cheryl) Hampp Jr. of South Bloomingsville and Joshua (Christina) Hampp of Laurelville; grandchildren, Herbert VanGundy III, Hunter Hampp and Brennon Wilson; two great grandchildren, Angel and Deven VanGundy; 4 step grandchildren; sister, Goldie (Herbert) Gilpen of Laurelville; brother, Larry Hines of Laurelville and a half brother, Charles (Ima) Hines of Washington C.H.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Hampp and her former husband, Ned Hampp.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Stoutsville.  Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
