Betty Sue Brown

July 19, 1936 — May 15, 2026

Betty S. Brown, age 89, of Amanda, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Pickering House in Lancaster. Betty was born in Princeton, WV on July 19, 1936, to Kathleen Holdren and then raised by her grandparents, Stuart and Rissie Six. She enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 71 years, Robert A. Brown; children, Bob Brown, of Lancaster, and Lydia (Don) Sahr, of Byrdstown, TN; grandchildren, Nikki Brown, Corey (Misha) Brown, Sarah (fiancee Brandon Boyer) Sahr, and Krista (Sean) Tobin; two great grandchildren; and two sisters. She is preceded in death by her mother and grandparents; one sister and one brother.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, 111 W. Main St., Amanda with Rev. Tony Hudson officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Betty's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the PRN Home Helathcare caregivers, Danuel, Jennifer, and Tanya and the staff of Fairhope Hospice and Palliative Care for their loving care of Betty.
