Betty L. Peters

Betty L Peters, age 88 of Amanda and Logan, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Logan Community Hospital. She was born May 2, 1938, at home in Stoutsville, the daughter of the late Ralph and Helen (Marshall) Adams. She was a graduate of Stoutsville High School, class of 1956. Betty was a lifelong farmer, together with her husband of 66 years, Ned. She served as a 4-H advisor for over 10 years and loved to crochet and do word find puzzles.

She is survived by her children, Susan Peters, of Grants, NM, Rita Carter, of Logan, Karen (Lindsey) Torlone, of South Point, OH, and Brad Peters, of Logan; grandson, Patrick (Chloe) Parnell, of Batavia OH; brother, Carl (Judy) Adams, of Stoutsville, OH; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Ned; granddaughter, Lacey Parnell; her parents; brother John(Gloria) Adams; Son-in-law Mark Carter.

Funeral service will be held at 1 pm, Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, 111 W Main St, Amanda, OH 43102. Interment will follow at Reber Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday from 11 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
