Carl Dwain Hayes

Carl Dwain Hayes, 61, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at his residence. He was born September 26, 1954 to Carl and Gertrude (Crofoot) Hayes in Alexandria, Louisiana. Carl was a member of the Lancaster Church of Christ, and worked for the Kroger Columbus Bakery in the maintenance department.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Linda (Black) Hayes; daughter, Diana (Jeremy) Lewis of Benton, AR; son, Robert (Jenni) Hayes of Damascus, AR; grandchildren, Perry and Camden Lewis; mother, Gertrude Carpenter of Lancaster; brothers, Steve (Kathy) Hayes of Lancaster, and Joe (Carolyn) Hayes of Baltimore; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Carl was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral service will be at 9:30 A.M. Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor Jason Thompson officiating.  Burial to follow at Lithopolis Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.  The family request memorial contributions to Heifer International, One World Ave., Little Rock, AR 72202 or at www.heifer.org in Carl’s memory.

Linda, My heart goes out to you and your family at this time.  Carl was always a good man and you were blessed with your time with him and your children and grand children.  I will be praying for you all my friend.  May God Bless you with the strength you will need to help you through this time of Grief.  Love Cindy MacCready.
