Chance E. Konkler

Chance E. Konkler, age 7, of Port Authur, Texas, passed away on May 15, 2014 as the result of an automobile accident. He was born January 25, 2007, and is the son of Amanda C. (Reagan) Ahrent of Texas, and Todd (Leslie Hikec) Konkler of Lancaster, OH.  Chance was thought of by others as an outgoing and polite young man.  He was an AB Honor Roll student in first grade at  DeQueen Elementary School in Port Arthur, TX.  Chance wanted to be either a police officer or firefighter when he grew up, "because he wanted to save the world".
In addition to his parents, Chance is survived by paternal grandparents, Lori and William Graf of Rushville, OH; maternal grandmother, Dana McGary of Texas; aunts, Brandy (Richard) Salyers of Galloway, OH, and Sandra Bell of Texas; uncle, Christopher Squires of Texas; and numerous great aunts and great uncles, cousins, and many friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 5-8 P.M. at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda.  Private service will follow at the convenience of the family.
