Darrell Douglas Arnett

Darrell Douglas “Doug†Arnett, 57, of Amanda, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 22, 2014.  He was born January 23, 1957 in Circleville and was the son of the late Darrell and Margaret (Williams) Arnett.  Doug was a 1975 graduate of Logan Elm High School, member of the Carpenters Local 200 in Columbus and owner of Arnett’s Construction.  Doug loved his children, his horses, music, telling jokes and family dinners.  He enjoyed taking his grandchildren rides on the four wheeler and participating in 4-H with Kelsie.
He is survived by his wife, Robin (Sharp) Arnett; children, Jason (Sonequea) Arnett of Ashville, Scott (Amber) Arnett of Laurelville, Stephanie (Brian) Bell of Ashville and Kelsie Sharp of Amanda; 12 grandchildren and one great grandson; brothers, Bill (Becky) Gooley and Greg (Cheryl) Arnett both of Rockbridge and Jeff (Lisa) Arnett of Florida; father and mother-in-law, Marvin and Jackie Sharp; brothers-in-law, Tracy (Patti) Sharp and Jay (Charity) Sharp and Robin's grandmothers, Helen Sharp and Pat Bethel all of Amanda.  He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends
Cremation has been handled with care by the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday with a memorial service at 4:00 p.m.
