David H. Green, 75, of Crossville, Tennessee, formerly of Amanda, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Cumberland Medical Center. He was born October 29, 1942 in Fentress County, Tennessee and was the son of the late Fate and Iva (Greer) Green. David proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. David was retired from Consolidated Freightway after 30 years of service and a member of Teamsters Local #413.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Diane (Bowman) Green; daughter, Amy (Will) Hoch of Logan and a son, Wayne (Colleen) Green of New Albany; step grandchildren, Andrea (Eddie) McDonie and Nathan (Hannah) Hoch; step great grandchildren, William and Charles McDonie and Adalynn and Lydia Hoch; brother Randall Green of Tennessee and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved cats, Frankie and Harley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Rev. Mark Clingan officiating. Burial will be in Amanda Twp. Cemetery where military honors will be provided by Amvets Post #2256, Circleville. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
