Dianne Durose, 70, of Lancaster, passed away November 17, 2017 at Fairfield Medical Center. She was born December 29, 1946 in Lancaster and was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Louise (Hartranft) Denney. Dianne was a graduate of Amanda-Clearcreek High School and a retired surgical tech for Fairfield Medical Center. She also served as the office manager for Dr. Durose. She was a member of the Amanda-Clearcreek Athletic Boosters, OCCL Womenâs Club and served as secretary of the board at Lost Hollow Campground for numerous years. Dianne enjoyed camping and traveling with family and friends and was an avid OSU fan.
She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Dr. Galen G. Durose Sr.; children, Denise Morgan of Amanda, Jon (Nikki) Hooker of Logan, Tim Hooker of Stoutsville, Rena Jo (Dr. Christopher) Posey Sr. of Bettendorf, Iowa, Yolanda Moore of Aurora, Ohio, Dawn Ann (Sean) Lavey of Lancaster, Pam (Mike) Muetzel of Lancaster, Dr. Galen G. (Shannon) Durose Jr. of Greenville, Maine and Jason (Mandy) Durose of Washington C.H.; 25 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved dogs, Sassy, Willie and Sadie and was known as Grandma Treats to all the family dogs. In addition to her parents, Dianne was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Denney.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Rev. Tony Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Amanda Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
