Dick Hoskinson

Richard L. "Dick" Hoskinson, 86, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at his home. He was born on July 23, 1939, in Williamsport, Ohio, the son of Walter and Mildred (See) Hoskinson. He served in the Navy from 1956 to 1960. Dick was retired from the paper mill in Baltimore. He was proudly a Lay Speaker for the Methodist Church for over 40 years. In that role, he touched many peoples' lives. His entire life was his testimony. Dick was an avid football fan, especially OSU and the Lancaster Golden Gales.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bonnie (Meadows) Hoskinson; children, Jim (Bev) Hoskinson, of Laurelville, Dani (Brian) Crabtree, of Lancaster, Kris (Scott) Clemons, of Lancaster; grandchildren, Amanda (Trevor), Jackie (Colin), Kyle, Cameron, Ali (Cory), Mary (Andrew), Ciara, and Marissa; great grandchildren, Ryder, Carter, Oliver, Lynkin, Oakley, and Lorelei; sisters, Linda (Wayne) Scott, of Sugar Grove and Bobbie (Phil) Kauffman, of Lancaster; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Charlotte (Bill) Wright.

A time to celebrate Dick's life will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda. Military Honors will be rendered at 4:00 p.m. Cremation has been arranged in the care of the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity in Dick's memory.
