Elva Blankenship

Elva Lee Blankenship, age 89, of Lancaster, passed away August 26, 2015 at her residence at Carriage Court.  She was born October 23, 1925 in Ravenswwod, W.V. to the late Charles and Mabel (Riffle) Bosworth.
Elva is survived by her children, Steve (Margie) Blankenship of Hebron,  Linda (Jerry) Wemer of Amanda, Judy (Kenneth) Arnold of Buckeye Lake, Freda (Benny) Hartley of Lancaster, and Connie (Scott) Perry of Groveport; 18 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brothers, Edgar (Evelyn) Bosworth of Florida, and Raymus Bosworth of Frankfort.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Blankenship; daughter, Genny Thorne; grandson, Joshua Hartley; granddaughter, Briana Whitaker; sister, Erma Ackerman; brothers, Ronald, James and Francis Bosworth.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor James Dexter officiating.  Family will receive friends on Friday from 5-8 P.M. and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family would like to acknowledge Elva’s longtime neighbors and friends, David and Mary Kay Murphy, as well as the kind staff at Carriage Court for their care of Elva during her stay.
