Eva Kinser

May 12, 1923 — November 16, 2017

Eva Kinser, 94, a long time resident of Amanda, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2017.  She was born May 12, 1923 in Fairfield County and was the daughter of the late Sam and Effie (Gwartney) Davis.  
Eva graduated from Amanda High School and married Charles Kinser on October 26, 1944.  She followed him to Florida when he was drafted in the Navy during WWII. She worked on the base as a clerk-typist.  On their return, Eva worked as a bookkeeper for Amanda Grain Co. and later for her husband’s electrical company.   She enjoyed her flowers, crafts, traveling and dancing.
She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Charles Kinser; son, Steve (Karen) Kinser of Lancaster and a daughter, Cindy (Tim) Keesee of Villa Rica, Georgia; grandchildren, Ashley (Jeremy) Dearth, Ty Kinser, Jeremy (Rebekah) Keesee and Nathan Keesee; great grandchildren, Olivia, Annie and Mitchell Dearth, Emmett and Stella Keesee; sister, Margaret Frost of Holly Hill, Florida and numerous nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by a former daughter-in-law, Pam Kinser of Lancaster.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lloyd Davis and sisters, Beulah Walters and Mary Metcalf.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda.  Burial will follow in Amanda Twp. Cemetery.  Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
