Evelene Spaulding

Evelene Spaulding, 85, of Amanda, Ohio, passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born June 30, 1929 in Pikeville, KY, the daughter of the late Otis and Bessie (Slone) Justice.  She was a member of Steptown Baptist Church in Steptown, WV.
She is survived by her children, Joyce (Verlin) Varney of Pataskala, Carrie Wilson and Betty (Willard) Mechling both of Amanda, Barbara Kegler of Pataskala, Bessie (Michael) Black of Marengo, William Howard (Tammey) Spaulding Jr. of West Virginia, Flem (Stella) Spaulding and Otis (Genieve) Spaulding both of Logan and Larry (Truneda) Spaulding of Vinton; grandchildren, Michelle, Evelyn, Sharon, Valerie, Stephen, Richard, Michael, Jennifer, William, Daniel, Tabitha, David, Jason, Ruth and Otis Jr.; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sisters, Carrie (Everett) May of Grove City, Clara Clark of Michigan and nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Spaulding; four grandchildren, Joe, Cody, Clinton and Alena; sisters, Millie May Blackburn and Helen Dietzel.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Sunday at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Rev. J.P. Justice officiating.  Burial will follow in the Spaulding Family Cemetery in Kermit, WV.  Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Sunday.
