Franklin E. Williamson

Franklin E. Williamson, 97, of Lancaster, passed away May 12, 2016 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born on April 18, 1919 in Dry Run, OH to the late Frank and Jessie (Weaver) Williamson. He attended Amanda U.M. Church and Cedar Hill Calvary U.M. Church where he taught Sunday school for many years. Franklin was a veteran of the US Air Force. He retired from Midwest Manufacturing where he worked as an inspector.
He is survived by his children, Sharon Williamson, Patsy Ann (Rev. Norman) Wright, and David Williamson all of Lancaster; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great , great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to his parents, Franklin was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth of 50 plus years.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Amanda U.M. Church, 222 E. High St., Amanda, OH with Rev. Matthew Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Amanda Twp. Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Red Bird Mission, 70 Queendale Center, Beverly, KY 40913 in Franklin’s memory.
