George C. Sechrest

George C. Sechrest, 64, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at the Pickering House.  He was born on December 4, 1951 in Bellaire and was the son of the late Robert and Yolanda (Liberati) Sechrest.  George was a 1970 graduate of Bellaire High School and was retired from Colgate-Palmolive in Cambridge.  He loved to play Texas Hold’em every chance he had.
He is survived by his wife, Joann (Fields) Sechrest; children, Joseph McCoy, Joni (Roy Hart) McCoy and Jonah (Ashley) McCoy all of Lancaster; grandsons, Nicholas and Adam Wolfe, Michael and Matthew McCoy; brother, Gary (Toni) Sechrest of Bellaire; nephews, Mike (Jenny) Sechrest of Bellaire and Brian (Jessica) Sechrest of Pataskala; great nephews, Trace, Colt and Max Sechrest and a great niece, Marlee Sechrest.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Michelle Sechrest
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda.  Burial will follow in Amanda Twp. Cemetery.  Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
