George Wimberley Speight III, 66, of Amanda passed away on May 18, 2025. He was born on February 27, 1959 in Jennings, LA to the late George Wimberley II, and Mary Pearl (Vincent) Speight. He retired from The Waterworks after 25 years. He supported his wife's business, Cabin Fever Glass, and was the top salesman. He enjoyed camping, riding his Honda motorcycle, he was an excellent Cajun cook, known for his crawfish boil, gumbo and etouffee. He was a die hard LSU football fan, Geaux Tigers.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Stephanie Speight; children, Jason (Amanda) Gray of Ashville; and Megan (Joe) Chambers of Marysville; grandchildren, Trevor, Samuel, Madelyn, and Anita; brother Pat (Pam) Speight; sisters Stina Broussard, Susie (Larry) Babbert, and Ruth (Robbie) Parks; mother-in-law, Anita Hoon of Canal Winchester; brother-in-law, Steven (Kim) Hoon of Lancaster; sister-in-law Jodie (Mitch) Marion of Millersport; dog Charlie, and Oliver; and many other friends of family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 1 from 1-4 pm at his home. Please bring your own chair. Arrangements have been entrusted to Taylor Theller Funeral Home, Amanda.
