Georgie Beavers

Georgie (Sharp) Beavers, 88, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Main Street Terrace surrounded by her family.  She was born July 10, 1929 in Amanda and was the daughter of the late John Vance and Della Iona (Arter) Sharp.  Georgie was a 1947 graduate of Stoutsville High School and a member of Heidelberg United Church of Christ in Stoutsville.  She formerly worked at GE in Circleville.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Harold Beavers; son, Harold Beavers Jr. of Amanda; daughters, Jane (Bill) Pool of Lancaster and Linda (Tom) Krile of Amanda; grandchildren, Heather Pool, Amber (Gary) Hennis, Katie and Carlie Krile; great grandchildren, Isaac and Abigail Hennis; step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; brother, Joe (Marie) Sharp and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Daphne Beavers; eight brothers, Alford, Don, Vernon, Charles, Merrel, Carl, Vearl and her twin brother, George Sharp; three sisters, Mary Sohrenssen, Agnes Hooker and Maxine Kuhn
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda.  Burial will follow the service at Maple Hill Cemetery in Stoutsville.  Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home
The family would like to thank the staff at Main Street Terrace and Dr. Brian Varney for the excellent care that Georgie received during her stay.
