Gladys E. Berry, 87, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Fairfield Medical Center. She was born January 22, 1930 in Amanda and was the daughter of the late George and Ethel (Spangler) Hart. Gladys was a member of Cedar Hill Calvary UMC, a 1948 graduate of Stoutsville High School and an avid Ohio State fan. She was retired from Lancaster Sales.
She is survived by her four children, Carol (Joe) Six and Virginia Austin both of Lancaster, Stephanie (Lee) Chattos of Amanda and Stephen (Colleen) Berry of Columbus; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; brother, Paul (Esther) Hart Sr. of Amanda; sisters, Dorothy (Fred) North of Lancaster and Phyllis (John) Hollar of Thornville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Berry and infant brother, John Hart.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda. Burial will follow in Amanda Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
