Glenn Eugene Pearce
February 7, 1947 - August 1, 2026

Born on February 7, 1947, Glenn was the son of the late Forrest and Pauline Pearce. He attended Amanda High School and spent much of his working life behind the wheel, first as an over-the-road truck driver and later as a bus driver. He loved being on the road and, even more, the people he met along the way. Glenn truly never met a stranger. Whether sharing a story, lending a helping hand, or simply striking up a conversation, he had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome.

On July 30, 2005, Glenn married the love of his life, Rebecca Pearce. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and friendship.

Glenn was a faithful member of Tarlton Community Church, Saltcreek Volunteer Fire Department and a longtime member of Amanda Masonic Lodge #509. He lived a life marked by kindness, hard work, integrity, and service to others. His faith, devotion to his family, and willingness to lend a helping hand left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Above all else, Glenn treasured his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rebecca Pearce; his children, Tammy (Jim) Morrow, Kelly (Rodney) Hart, Jodi (Robbie) Johnson, Joanie (Randy) Stoneburner, Amy (Josh) Bailes, and Doug (Ashley) Bailes. He was a proud grandfather of 13 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather of eight great-grandchildren, with two more precious great-grandchildren on the way. And of course his faithful companion Bo.

He is also survived by his sisters, Gladys Amspaugh and Twyla McCabe; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were made brighter by knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Pauline Pearce.

If you knew Glenn, you were a friend. He never met a stranger, only people he hadn't talked to yet. His kindness, quick wit, and genuine interest in others made everyone feel welcome. On Facebook, he proudly-and humorously-served as the "Honorable Mayor of the Tar Oak Division." While the Mayor may be signing off for the last time, the stories he told, the laughs he shared, and the friendships he built will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Heaven has gained one remarkable man, and those of us left behind will forever be grateful we had the chance to know him.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda, with Pastor Dave Tipton officiating. Interment will follow at Amanda Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
