H. Elaine Tatman, 65, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the Pickering House. She was born June 27, 1949 in Lancaster and was the daughter of the late Wilbert L. and Ruby E. (Smith) Hines. Elaine was a member of Amanda United Methodist Church, member of Moose Lodge #955 in Lancaster and was formerly employed by Glasfloss Industries. She taught Sunday School at Pine Grove Church for many years.
She is survived by her children, Pam Baker of Ft. Myers, Florida, George Tatman and Melissa (Todd) Willey both of Lancaster; grandchildren, Johnny (Amanda) Miller, Derrick Tatman, Zachary and Shyanne Nebbergall, Ruby and Michael Willey; brothers, Mike (Diane) Hines, Terry (Sherry) Hines and Billy Hines all of Lancaster; sisters, Mary (Duane) Armison of Franklinville, New York and Juanita (Robert) Kane of Laurelville; former husband, Herb Tatman of Lancaster and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marlyn Pittman and a brother, Gary Hines.
Cremation has been handled with care by the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda. The family will celebrate Elaineâs life from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Amanda United Methodist Church.
