James "Jim" R. Gibson, age 72 of Lancaster, passed away this past weekend at his residence. He was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Frank R. and Vera G. (Koon) Gibson on September 28, 1941. Jim worked in the restaurant industry for many years, most recently in the Grandview, OH area before retiring.
He is survived by sisters, Nancy (Bill) Martin of Phoenix, AZ, Jane (Tom) Gibson of Buena Vista, CO, Shirley Gibson of Delaware, OH, and Marti (Keith) Fisher of Sunbury, OH; brother, Frank Gibson of Richwood, OH; brother-in-law, Phil Williams of Lancaster, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Hanawalt and Joni Williams.
At the request of his family, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Please direct memorial contributions to the charity of one's choice in Jim's memory.
