J. Wendell Lovett, 64 of Stoutsville passed away Tuesday July 6, 2010 at his residence. He was born August 6, 1945 in Circleville and was the son of the late James B. and Olive Hartley Lovett.
Wendell was a retired carpenter having worked for the Trapp Construction Co. and Warner Maintenance Co. at Anheuser-Busch in Columbus. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 200 in Columbus, and a life time member of the Pontious United Methodist Church.
Wendell was a 1963 Graduate of A-C High School , former A-C School Board Member and was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. He enjoyed bowling and Bluegrass music. He is survived by his wife, Lucy L. Lovett, Daughters: Palma (Bill) Burris of Marblehead, OH and Sandy Altizer of Columbus and a granddaughter Erin (Mark) Barthelmas Wendell is also survived by a sister, Cheryl (Dean) Hursey of Amanda a cousin, Frances Crawford and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Stoutsville. Friends may call at the funeral home 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Pontious United Methodist Church.
