James E. Moore, age 92 of Amanda, passed away on Tuesday August 22, 2023, at Mount Carmel Saint Ann's Hospital in Westerville, Ohio. He was born to the late Elmer Lawrence Moore and Mona Annie "Goodman" Moore. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Isabella "Kuhn" Moore.
He Leaves behind many family members; he had four sons, Richard, Thomas, Lawrence, and Jimmy Moore. Amongst the four was several grandchildren, Christi Vandergriff, Karie "Dinkelmann" Moore, Andrea "Cleveland", Elizabeth Moore, Shawn, Nicholas, Eric, Jon McCulloch, Jesse Gacek, and Brandon; along with several great grandchildren.
He was loved by many. James enjoyed whittling and bird watching. He was a man of humble heart and peacefulness. He enjoyed sitting outside and watching sunsets. He will be dearly missed.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Maple Hill Cemetery, Stoutsville, with Rev. Norman Wright officiating. Cremation has been arranged in the care of the Taylor-Theller Funeral & Cremation Service.
