Janet L. Posey age 66 of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 26, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio, daughter of the late Elmer and Betty Jane (Allen) Burchwell. Janet worked for Ohio Bell for 25 years prior to her 25 year career with AEP. She loved quilting and enjoyed watching her grandchildren and their sporting events-she never missed an event.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Robert Posey; children, Chad (Holly) Posey, of New Lexington and Kimberly (Seth) Deerfield, of Lancaster; grandchildren, Alex, Bryce, and Carson Posey and Maxwell and Miles Deerfield; brothers, Ed Burchwell, of Columbus, Tom (Alicia) Burchwell, of Ashville and Robert Burchwell, of Columbus; sister, Brenda (Carl) Bush, of Ashville; several nieces and nephews; aunt, Esta Berta, of Carroll. She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved dog, Toby.
