Janie M. Berry, age 83, originally of Tarlton, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 25, 2023. She was born September 5, 1939, in Hocking County, the daughter of the late Pearl and Faye (Monroe) Graham. She was a former member of Millport Chapel Community Church in Ashville. She loved to cook, paint, crochet, knit, craft, and was known for her pumpkin pie and homemade chicken and noodles. Janie loved to entertain and share her love of cooking with everyone.
She is survived by her husband, Reverend Orville Berry; children, Rhonda Williams, of Ashville, Dwain (Teresa) Berry, of Tarlton, Cathy Lyn (Michael) Jewel, of Grove City; grandchildren, Tiffany (Ernie) Cradlebaugh, Lisa (Dave Laytart Jr.) Sweeney, Heather (Viet) Sharp, Chad Berry, Jennie (Jordan) Sewell, and Kimberly (David Suttles) Berry; great-grandchildren, Kenzie Vanover, Zachary Stiltner, Rylee Stiltner, Isabella Vanover, Hannah Levesque, Brooklyn Vanover, London Sharp, Hunter Vanover, Jett Sharp, Ariana Royer, Liam Suttles; and great-great grandchildren, Emma and Faith Fannon; sister, Cynthia (Robert) Love, of Thornville; sister-in-law, Jane Graham. Janie is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Steve and Daniel Graham; sister, Iona Glenn; brother-in-law, Russell Glenn; grandson-in-law, Sean Sweeney.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, 111 W. Main St., Amanda. Interment will follow at Tarlton Cemetery, Tarlton. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
