Jerry G. Lynn

Jerry G. Lynn, 73, of Amanda, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 at OSU-Wexner Medical Center.  He was born on January 30, 1944 in Pickaway County and was the son of the late Ervin and Grace (Curtis) Lynn.  Jerry was a 1962 graduate of Walnut High School. He served in the Ohio Army National Guard and was retired from General Electric after 39 years of service.  Jerry enjoyed watching and working on late model race cars and loved riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Kathie (Brown) Lynn; sons, Bill Lynn of Chillicothe and Carl Lynn of Nelsonville; three grandchildren, Cassidy, Jerry and Elliott Lynn; two brothers, Carl (Hazel) Lynn and Don (Dottie) Lynn both of Circleville and a sister, Mary Holbrook of Circleville and several nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his very dear friends, Jerry and Anita Porter and his canine buddy, Abby.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dick Lynn.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor Chuck Sharp officiating.  Cremation will follow the service.  Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
