Jerry G. Wampler, age 70 of Stoutsville, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022, at Berger Hospital in Circleville. He was born December 25, 1951, in Columbus, the son of the late Ray G. and Betty E. (Roe) Wampler. He attended Amanda High School. He had worked previously for the Fairfield County Road Department and for the Wampler Truck Plaza in Circleville. Jerry enjoyed old car shows and time spent at the casinos. He was especially skilled at wheeling and dealing in unique collectibles.
He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Devaney, of Stoutsville and Jeanette (David) Zibolsky, of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Brandyn Jarvis and Rebecca (Robbie) Sheets, and Jeff Jr. and Harley Devaney; great grandchildren, Waylon Jarvis and Damon Sheets; sister, Lucy (Bud) Cordle, of Stoutsville; brother, Bill (Cindy) Wampler, of Stoutsville; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; special Aunt Naomi Wampler, of Royalton. He is preceded in death by his parents and his son in law, Jeff Devaney.
Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Cremation will follow the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
