Guestbook

It is with extreme regret that I learned through my son Scott of the passing of our friend and neighbor, Joyce Miller. She and her husband Maynard welcomed us into the community and into Fairview Church when we moved to Sixteenth Road, Stoutsville, in 1981, from Pennsylvania. I taught in the Stoutsville School building where she was a cook and made school food taste good. I enjoyed her beautiful piano music at church. She was a kind and thoughtful member of the community.

Our younger son Scott grew up to be a Mason in the lodge at Amanda and participated with his lodge brothers in the funerals of both her husband and her son-in-law. He also included Joyce on the special occasions honoring widows and mothers of lodge members.

God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that who believes in him shall not parish but have everlasting life! I can only imagine Grandma Miller singing, smiling, and rejoicing, for she is with our Father. It is a time for us to cry and to feel sorrow, then to begin our lives to follow God's path for us. It is difficult to understand why we must feel the loss of our loved one but God will give you comfort. His plan is greater then our own and as Grandma Miller lived her life in Gods plan we must too and unite as a family. I will miss her smile, hugs, kisses and how she would touch my face and always ask about Eddie and Ellie. But I know that someday we will meet again! Love to all of you!
