Kathleen A. "Kathy" Daugherty

Kathleen A. "Kathy" Daugherty, age 72, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at OSU Medical Center in Columbus. She was born on March 4, 1953, in Lancaster, to the late John William and Marie (Greene) Daugherty. Kathy was an avid historian and geneologist, which led to her membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed sewing and knitting and especially enjoyed giving knitted hats and mittens to people in need. She loved all animals, especially dogs, cats and horses.

She is survived by her sisters, Kris (Susan Pyle) Daugherty, of Hide A Way Hills and Susie Reid, of Amanda; sister-in-law, Melisa Daugherty, of Lancaster; nieces and nephews, Alex (Brittany) Reid, Austin (Heather) Reid, and Audra Reid, Connor and Isaac Daugherty; several great nieces and nephews; and her tuxedo cat, Pearl. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Steven Daugherty; brother-in-law, "Mooch" Reid.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2025, at St. Mary Cemetery, Lancaster. Arrangements are in the care of Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda.
