Kenny Smith

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth William Smith, age 78. Kenny passed away peacefully at home on November 11, 2021. He was born August 6, 1943 in Amanda, Ohio, one of eleven children of the late Marjorie (Stebelton) Smith and Elmer Smith.

Kenny was a hard working man who was always willing to help family and friends. He graduated from Amanda Clearcreek High School in 1962. He worked at Mid West Fabricating, Inc. for 47 years and proudly served as a volunteer firefighter in Amanda Township for 33 years.

Kenny was a family man. He enjoyed many years deer and mushroom hunting with his brothers, children, nephews and grandsons. He was an avid bass fisherman and formed a Bass Club with many friends. He loved organizing large family softball, volleyball and Euchre games. In retirement he liked to visit county fairs and spend time with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Kenny is survived by his loving wife, Jenny; children, Dottie, Bridget, Richie (wife Treba), Connie, Eric and Debbie (husband Kevin); 15 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda. Interment will follow at Amanda Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
