Martin F. Diaz, age 78, of Amanda, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico, on April 26, 1947, to the late Andres and Virginia (Ruiz) Diaz. He was raised in New York City and enlisted in the US Air Force following his high school graduation. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from the Air Force with 20 years of service. Martin loved participating in the Air Force Bowling League at Wright-Patterson. He bowled one 300 game in his career. Unfortunately, that 300 game did not occur during league play. He was extremely devoted to his family.
He is survived by his children, Virginia (Brian) Harper, of Loveland, Pam (Shaun) James, of San Diego, CA, Martin L. (Sean McLane) Diaz, of Huntsville, AL, and Carol (Ethan Russell) Diaz, of Lancaster; grandchildren, Katherine, Christopher, and Juliana; great granddaughter, Kashlyn; sister, Andrea Silva, of Delaware. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Deb; brothers, Ruben and Jose.
A graveside service with military honors will be scheduled at a later date. Inurnment will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster.
