Michael A. Cherubini, 73, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born August 12, 1944 in Newark and was the son of the late Albert E. and Esther J. (Roberts) Cherubini. Michael was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Lancaster. He was a graduate of Newark High School and attended Ohio University. Michael formerly worked for Owens-Corning and retired from Faifield Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Joyce (Ours) Cherubini; five children, Lisa Cherubini of Dayton, Joe (Michelle) Cherubini of Carroll, Wendy (Jeff) Davis of Canton, Jason (Jennifer) Ours and Jennifer Tiller both of Lancaster; 19 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; three brothers, Roger (Joyce) Cherubini of Newark, Gary (Debbie) Cherubini of Key Largo, FL and Fred (Bev) Cherubini of Newark; sister, Annie Calhoun of Newark; his childrenâs mother, Karen Villinger Turdo of Maine and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Trina Cherubini; brother-in-law, David Calhoun and his best friend, Al Killeen.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Thursday at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor Roy Maple officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.
