Milton E. Speakman

Milton E. Speakman, 88, of Amanda, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Crestview Nursing Home in Lancaster. He was born on August 15, 1928 in Amanda to the late Edward and Lulu (Young) Speakman. Milton was a veteran of  World War II and the Korean War, serving in  both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force. Milton was an electrician by trade and retired from DuPont.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn (Swoyer) Speakman; daughters, Christina (James) Webb, Lisa Speakman all of Amanda, and Ginger Speakman of Michigan; grandchildren, LaTasha Webb of Chilicothe, and Chanyce (Megan) Speakman of Thornville; six great grandchildren, Mason, Clairyssa, Noah, Piper, Kennedy, and Kate; sister, Annabell Bethel of Logan; sister-in-law, Nancy Gaskins of Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, Milton was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Speakman, and brother-in-law, Bob Bethel.
A Grave side service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Amanda Twp. Cemetery with Pastor Lynn Summers officiating.  Military Honors will be provided by AMVETS Post 2256.
The family request any memorial contributions be made to AMVETS Post 2256 Honor Guard, 818 Tarlton Road, Circleville, OH 43113 in Milton’s memory.
