Alvin L. Arledge, 68, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Homestead Care Center. He was born October 14, 1943 in Licking County and was the son of the late Harmon and Viola (Minor) Arledge. He retired from Anchor Hocking in 1999 after 35 years of service. He was a member of Olivedale Senior Citizens and bowled for many years.
He is survived by a son, Todd (Diane) Arledge of Bremen; daughters, Lisa Arledge and Wendy (John) Oatney both of Lancaster; grandson, Justin Arledge of Lancaster; brother, Marion (Mary) Arledge of Lancaster; sisters, Helen Baker of Columbus and Laura Morris of Lancaster. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda with Pastor Steve Rauch officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
