Mr. Billy Joe Kelley

Billy Joe Kelley, 73, of Lancaster ,Ohio, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011, at the Pickering House in Lancaster. He was born August 18, 1937, in Shelbyville, Indiana, the son of the late William E, and Florene Richardson Kelley. Billy was a former supervisor at Western Electric / ATT, until his retirement in 1989, He was an owner and trainer of standardbred horses and was formerly the Secretary and Treasurer of the Indiana Trotting and Pacing Horse Assn . He is survived by his daughter, Karen Jae Ford of Columbus, 4 granddaughters:, He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn "Jeanie" Kelley, a son, Kevin Kelley and a brother, Jim Kelley. A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Murphy Parks Funeral Home in Shelbyville, IN, with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Norristown, IN. Friends may call at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda, 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and at the Murphy Banks Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. on Friday.
