Carl W. Milliser, 68, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 11, 2013. He was born on December 31, 1944 in Lancaster and was the son of the late Charles and Wanda (Linn) Milliser. Carl enjoyed his job as a self-employed owner of Milliser Plumbing.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carolyn (Friesner) Milliser; children, Todd (Joyce) Milliser and Sheri Sprang and fiancé Jeff Nibert; grandchildren, Cody Sprang, Jeremy Howell both of Lancaster, Mandy (Troy) Douglas and Krystal Echard both of Texas and their mother, Lisa Marshburn of Texas; great grandchildren, Kolby and Luke Douglas of Texas; brothers, Charles (Roberta) Milliser and Scout Milliser; sisters, Eva Anthony, Mary Lou Hall and Josephine Morgan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lorenzo (Barb) Friesner, Charles (Linda) Friesner and Susie (Tom) Milbaugh and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Milliser; sisters, Cappie Hines, Daisy Steen, Patience Swain and Shirley Green; brothers, Franklin and Benny Milliser and Jim Thorne.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Sprouse and his nurse, Linda and Dawn and FairHope hospice for their care of Carl during his illness.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda with Rev. Roy Maple officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family would like contributions be made to FairHope hospice in Carl's memory.
