Clyde R. Arledge Jr., of Londonderry, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2011 at his residence. He was born August 8, 1936 in Orient and was the son of Clyde R. and Georgia M. (Rhymer) Arledge Sr. Clyde was a U.S. Navy veteran and an independent truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Donnie (Turner) Arledge; children, Christina (Matt) Noble of Adelphi, Bonnie (Wayne) Leach of Stoutsville, Ted (Teri) Arledge of Lancaster, Brian Arledge of Stoutsville, Jeff (Lisa) Arledge of Kingston and Melody (Gary) Walker of Circleville; ten grandchildren, one great grandson and two step grandchildren; mother, Georgia Arledge of Stoutsville; three brothers, four sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; one brother and two nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Lancaster. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to offset expenses.
