Dilon Jacob Uhl, 20, of Amanda, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014 at OSU Medical Center as a result of an auto accident. He was born May 24, 1993 in Lancaster. He was a 2011 graduate of Amanda Clearcreek High School and a union carpenter.
He is survived by his parents, Tom and Shelly (Gardner) Uhl; brother, Drew Locke and sister, Kendal Uhl; maternal grandparents, John and Maggie Gardner and paternal grandmother, Gloria Uhl all of Lancaster; girlfriend, Courtney Smith of Lithopolis and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends in the Amanda area. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Fred J. Uhl Jr. and great grandmother, Alice Cox. Dilon gave the gift of life by donating his organs to help others.
A cremation was handled with care by the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda. A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Pete Jankowski officiating. The family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at the Taylor Funeral Home.
The family would like contributions to be made to the funeral home to help offset expenses.
