Doyle M. "Whitey" Garrett, 76, of Lancaster, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born July 5, 1934 in Ashville. He was the son of the late Robert E. and Nellie Gray (Reed) Garrett. He was a member of Clearcreek Community Church in Circleville, 1952 graduate of Stoutsville High School and a retired maintenance worker at General Electric after 38 years of service. He was also a member of the Men's Christian Fellowship Group.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Wanda (Beverly) Garrett; sons, Steven Garett and Douglas (Tammy) Garrett both of Lancaster; daughters, Aprille (Anthony) Fitz, Cheryl (Steve) Sullivan and Karen Lott all of Lancaster, Beverly Kay Greenfield of Arizona; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Vernon (Eileen) Garrett and Orville Garrett both of Amanda and Don (Joyce) Garrett of Lancaster and nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 1:30 P.M. Wednesday at the Clearcreek Community Church, 220 Nicholas Dr., Circleville, Ohio with Pastor Wayne Seymour officiating. The family would like contributions be made to the Clearcreek Community Church in Doyle's memory.
