Mr. Emanuel R. Osborn Sr

Emanuel R. Osborn, Sr., 71, of Laurelville, passed away Friday, November 19, 2010 at his residence. He was born April 24, 1939 in Columbus and was the son of the late Dave and Cora (Roe) Osborn. Emanuel and his wife Barbara were foster parents in the Central Ohio area for over 30 years. He was an avid hunter and NASCAR fan. Day or night, Emanuel was there to offer support or a helping hand to anyone who needed it.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Jarvis) Osborn; children, Sherri (Randy) Christian of Amanda, Tamara (Gary) Clark of Powell, Brian (Angie) Jordan of Amanda, James (Tammy) Jordan of Laurelville, Melisa (Rob) Osborn of Grove City, Shannon (Kevin) Massey of Columbus, Shane (Valerie) Osborn of Laurelville, Joshua (Avee) Osborn of Amanda, Jerry Osborn and Jacob Osborn both of the home; daughter-in-law, Tamarin Osborn; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, David William Osborn and Emanuel R. Osborn, Jr.; two grandchildren, Amber Nicole Christian and Chadd Michael Jordan and a great grandson, Devin Griffey.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda with Pastor Jim Vanover officiating. Burial will be in Tarlton Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
