Mr. James E. Callicoat

James E. Callicoat, 56, of Amanda, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2013 at the Pickering House. He was born May 15, 1957 in Willow Wood, Ohio and was the son of the late James O. and Wanda (Vititoe) Callicoat. James was a retired independent truck driver, an avid outdoorsman and a dedicated family man.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Carol (Smith) Callicoat; daughter, Cristen (Shawn) Leppert of Lancaster; son, Cristopher Callicoat of Zanesville; brothers, Mike (Louise) Callicoat of Wilgus and Roger (Cathy) Callicoat of Willow Wood; sisters, Penny Barnhart and Beverly (Dewey) Woodruff both of Willow Wood and Benna (Glen) Grube of Scottown and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an uncle with whom he grew up with, Thomas Vititoe.
Cremation has taken place and no services will be observed. Arrangements are being handled with care by the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda.
