Mr. James "Sugar Bear" Disbennet

James A. "Sugar Bear" Disbennet, 58, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the Pickering House. He was born January 4, 1955 in Fairfield County and was the son of Emil and Edna (Rodgers) Disbennet. Jim was a former employee of Anchor Hocking and a truck driver. He was a former owner of Aunt Junie's restaurant in Amanda.
He is survived by his mother, Edna Disbennet of Lancaster; daughter, Jeannine Cook of Heath; companion, Debra Devore of Lancaster; granddaughters, Nicole Elizabeth Cook and Andrea (D.J.) Coots; great granddaughter, Aliyah Marie Coots; brother, Billy Disbennet of Lithopolis; sisters, Nancy (Jeff) Eden and Betty Elliot both of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Robert E. Disbennet.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan. Arrangements by the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda. The family would like any contributions to be made to the funeral home to offset expenses.
