Mr. Jerald E. "Jug" Moore

Jerald E. "Jug" Moore, 84, of Pleasantville, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, August 17, 2013. Jerald was born October 15, 1928 in Barnesville, Ohio and was the son of the late Maynard and Nellie (Bowersock) Moore. Jug was retired from Anchor Hocking Plant #2 and was an avid horseman who trained, bred and raced Thoroughbred horses for over 50 years.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jean (Mathias) Moore; three children, Joy (Ken) Kellenbarger, Kevin (Jinny) Moore and Gail (Jim) Ellinger all of Lancaster; 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; one niece, one nephew, a brother and sister.
Jerald's wishes were to be cremated and was handled with care by the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda. There will be no services. The family requests no flowers but would like any contributions to be given to the Horsemen's Benevolent & Protective Association, 3684 Park St., Grove City, Ohio 43123 in Jug's memory.
