Mr. John M. Rodgers Sr

John M. Rodgers Sr., 70, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born April 5, 1940 in Laurelville and was the son of the late Leman and Ina (Metz) Rodgers. He was retired from Cody Zeigler Construction.
He is survived by his children, Marketta Allen of Lancaster, Lilly Romine of Groveport, Ronnie (Chuck) Ogg, Cheryl (Matt) Porter and John (Laura Bower) Rodgers Jr. all of Lancaster; fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; sister, Alma (Clyde) Sayre of Obetz and special friend, Dora "Boots" Rodgers of Ashville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children's mother, Juanita Rodgers; grandson, Gregory Porter; sisters, Rose Rodger, Grace Burgoon and Lillie Linton and a brother, Samuel Rodgers.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ross co. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
