Kenneth D. Amspaugh, 77 of Lancaster, passed away March 2, 2012 at the Pickering House. He was born October 6, 1934 to the late Howard and Mary (Hizey) Amspaugh. He was a member of the Fairfield Beach United Methodist Church, and also a member of the Millersport Lions Club. He was a retired glass worker with over 30 years of service with Anchor Hocking. He is survived by daughter Jodi (Rod) Butcher of Circleville; sons Terry (Brenda) Amspaugh of Millersport, and Bruce (Amy Anderson) Amspaugh of Rushville; grandchildren Josh (Tina) Amspaugh, Jessica (Nick) Grimm, Samantha (Joshua) Watts, Justin, Jace and Jillian Butcher, great-grandchildren Landon Grimm, Hunter Watts, Morgan Riley, Zoe and Caleb Gallagher; sisters Arleta Miller, and Eileen (Verne) Miller; brothers Dan (Gladys) Amspaugh and Roger Amspaugh and Phyllis; and many nieces, nephews and friends including Kayla and Gary Anderson.. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Luella Amspaugh; sisters Ruth Roley, Juanita Archer, and Edith Garrett; brothers Herb and Paul Amspaugh.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda with Pastor Terry Borah officiating, burial to follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Lancaster. Family will receive friends Monday 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home. The Amspaugh family request contributions to either the Pickering House, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, OH 43130, or to the Green Township E.M.S., 3245 Havensport Rd, Carroll, OH 43112 in Kenneth's memory.
