Mr. Kent Kraft

Kent Kraft, 55, of Amanda, passed away at his residence on Saturday, May 14, 2011. He was born November 30, 1955 in Lancaster and was the son of P.D. and Clara (Schooley) Kraft. Kent was a 1973 graduate of Amanda Clearcreek High School and former employee of Simmons and Kleinline. Kent played men's fast pitch softball for over 15 years and coached high school girl's softball for 10 years (Hooty Hoot). He loved golfing, fishing in his pond and mushroom hunting but most of all loved spending time with his grandson.
Kent is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sheryl (Gray) Kraft; children, Leah Kraft of Lancaster, Kayla (Josh) Carroll and Keith Kraft both of Amanda; grandson, Landon Kraft; parents, P.D. (Clara) Kraft of Circleville; brother, Dave (Barb) Kraft of Amanda; sister, Kathy (Tom) Parmer of Circleville and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Brenda Dixon of Apple Valley. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Kerry Gray.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda. Burial will be in Amanda Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday.
