Larry E. Cofman, 67, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born February 20, 1946 in Carroll and was the son of the late Orville and Marcella (Mondhank) Cofman. Larry was a 1964 graduate of Amanda Clearcreek High School, member of Mt. Carmel United Church of Christ, and past member of Amanda Twp. Variance Board. He started C-W Auto Body in Lancaster in 1972 and retired in 2006.
Larry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Janet (Stalder) Cofman; daughters and sons-in-law, Lori (Patrick) Purdy of LaGrange, Kentucky and Lisa Cofman and Jim Bargdill of Lancaster; grandsons, Eric (Amy) McCabe, Andrew Purdy, Adam and Ryan Keller; great granddaughter, Harper Grace McCabe; sister, Carolyn (Paul) Tussing of Columbus and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Elliott.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME in Amanda with Rev. Tony Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Amanda Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
